Dave McJannet is the CEO of HashiCorp, and has more than 20 years of experience spanning product management, operations, finance and marketing with a focus on open source and infrastructure software.

 

Prior to HashiCorp, he ran marketing at GitHub and Hortonworks. At Hortonworks, he built and led the marketing organization that helped the company through multiple phases, more than $100 million in annual revenues within four years of inception and an IPO in 2014.

 

Prior to Hortonworks, he led the go-to-market team for SpringSource at VMware, which included the Spring Framework, Cloud Foundry and other key technologies that became the company now known as Pivotal Software. He joined SpringSource from Microsoft, where he was responsible for multiple elements of the server and cloud portfolio performance in Canada.

 

He received an economics degree from McGill University.
